
Memorandum of Understanding between OIDEC and ENER
On Friday, January 31st, at the Embassy of the Republic of Liberia in Rome, in the presence of Minister Counsellor (Chargé d'Affaires) Ms. Teresa Peters, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between OIDEC Group and Ente Nazionale per le Energie Rinnovabili.
The protocol was signed by Mr. Marcello Trento, President of Ente Nazionale per le Energie Rinnovabili and Mr. Varo Jr. Macchi, CEO of OIDEC Group.
The Memorandum of Understanding expresses the willingness of both signatories to promote on Liberian territory new technologies for the development of renewable energy that will definitely bring improvements to rural communities in Liberia. The protocol was legalized by the Consular Section of the Embassy.
On this occasion, the collaboration between the OIDEC Group and Alleanza Ospedali Italiani nel Mondo was also discussed in order to activate again in Liberia health development projects, both for existing facilities and for new facilities to be built in rural areas.
Dr. Serena Candigliota, representative of Alleanza Ospedali Italiani nel Mondo, together with the CEO of OIDEC Group, showed interest in opening any form of cooperation.
Also present at the meeting were H.E. Domenico Mannino (former Prefect of the Republic of Italy) as OIDEC Group's Advisor for Institutional Affairs, Cav. Ferdinando Negroni (former ROS Carabinieri NCO) as President of OIDEC Italia ODV ETS, Dr. Massimo Pica as OIDEC Group Advisor for Financial Affairs and Lawyer Andrea Mannino as OIDEC Group Legal Advisor. Dr. Ignatius Boakai (son of the President of the Republic of Liberia) was present as a witness.
